200sx emergency tool kit

Post by Gary57 »

So I'm planning on putting together a small tool kit to leave in the car, in case of emergencies and breakdown etc.

What do you think should be in this kit?

10 spanner
Screw drivers
Pliers
Cable ties
Insulation tape
Flat fix

Please this is a small kit, I am not changing clutches on the side of the road so emergency tools only. Must fit into stock tool bag.

I'd say just ad the general spanners, 8, 12,13 and maybe a small allen key set(or the general sizes)

I'd let it comprise of the following:

1. double-sided spanner with 8 and 10 on either side (gedore)
2. double sided spanner with 12 and 14 on either side (gedore)
3. screw driver with flat and philips head - reversable
4. pliers (gedore)
5. 30mm wide x 10m long roll of duct tape (preferably sellotape make from builders)
6. Flat fix (the one in the can that most bikers use)
7. LED torch (small size) or smallish LED light that plugs into lighter socket
8. 1 x pair of latex gloves (nothing worse than changing a tyre, getting your hands dirty and touching everything inside your clean car with dirty hands)
9. cable ties

I keep a small multitool in the doors of every car anyway
